World heritage representing Japan "Shrines and Temples of Nikko". Among them, the most famous "Nikko Toshogu Shrine" is a shrine where Ieyasu Tokugawa was settled, and the existing group of shrines had been mostly rebuilt by the 3rd Shogun Iemitsu in 1636 to demonstrate the power of the Tokugawa Shogunate.
In the precincts there are 55 buildings including 8 national treasures and 34 important cultural assets, and its gorgeous beauty is must-see.
By craftsperson gathered from all over the country, the buildings were lacquered and many sculptures were decorated to pillars.
