Iriomote Island ( Iriomotejima ) – Okinawa

4.5 out of 5 stars
Rating 4.5

Iriomote Island is the second largest island next to the main island of Okinawa.

The subtropical forest stands 90% of the island, and rare animals and plants, including Iriomote cat, are inhabited.

It is about 40 minutes to Iriomotejima by a further high speed boat from Ishigakijima. Located in the subtropical zone, there is a jungle-covered unexplored area. You can stay in Ishigakijima and enjoy the secret feeling on a day trip.

It is recommended to participate in a tour that combines two another place sightseeing tours a day. Because you can prepare kind guides and fixtures, it is attractive that you can participate with minimal baggage.
