Transparent rivers where rich snow melting water flows and beautiful wetlands are found everywhere in Azumino.  And the clear water of Azumino was listed as one of the 100 most excellent natural water sources in Japan.

It is an ideal area for cultivating fruit trees such as blueberries, peaches, and apples, as well as buckwheat. Aquaculture of rainbow trout and Shinshu salmon and cultivation of wasabi can only be done with clean water like this area.
