Kiyomizu-dera Temple – Kyoto

Kiyomizu Temple is a temple built in the middle of Higashiyama and Otowayama, and was registered as a World Cultural Heritage in 1994 as "Cultural Heritage of Ancient Kyoto". The most interesting place is the famous main hall known for "the stage of Kiyomizu". Kiyomizu's stage height supported by 139 pillars on the cliff is 18 meters and it is popular as a viewing spot overlooking the city of Kyoto. Below the stage of Kiyomizu, there is the Otowa waterfall which is the source of the name of the temple, and it is said that there is a benefit to health, longevity, academics. Every spring, summer, autumn, a special occasion of the night is carried out, and you can enjoy the fantastic atmosphere that was lighted up.
