Yamadera is a Buddhist temple of Tendai sect founded by Priest En-nin in 860 located in Yamagata, Yamagata Prefecture. Yamadera is commonly known as the official name "Risshakuji".

According to the sightseeing brochure of Yamadera, the stone steps to Okunoin are 800 steps far from the mountain gate and there are 1050 steps from the climbing mouth. It's about an hour's walk from the parking lot to Yamadera by walking slowly.

I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor for a merchandising firm.
