Kamikochi is a mountain scenic region with an altitude of approximately 1,500 meters in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture.
It is designated as a cultural property of the country (special scenic spot / special natural treasure) as part of Chubu mountains national park.

As one of the mountain top scenic spots in Japan, which is also called "the land where God descends" (Kamikouti), as many as 1.5 million people visit each year. In Kamikochi,there are many evironmetal protections in various ways, including regulation of a car.
